100 Day Challenge Goal Check-In Day 68
It’s accountability time again! We are now 68 days into our 100 Day Goal Challenge. This will be our last check-in before the final results of our 100 Day Challenge. It’s been stated in other posts and I will say it again, goals and positive motivation are highly valued by us. Accountability really helps so thanks for being there for us. Here is our 100 Day Challenge Goal Check-In Day 68.
We are two-thirds of the way through this challenge and I appreciate the impact it is making in my life most of all.
I am on target for my goal to lose 10 pounds. Although my action plan hasn’t been followed perfectly I am still seeing progress. My trips to the gym have diminished greatly. Where I have slacked there I have increased physical activity at work and on the golf course. Still religiously having my protein shake for breakfast and cutting back on chips at night. Overall I am trying to eat healthier. To date, I have lost 6 pounds.
The other goal I set is to shoot par golf. (72 for those that don’t know what par is) My best game to date is 82. According to my action plan, I should be shooting a 75 right now. So I am not quite there. I’ve learned that I was a little too aggressive with my plan to hit 200 balls a day and play multiple rounds of golf a week. My 53-year-old hip and back just can’t handle it. It’s not physically possible anymore.
I may not be where I hoped to be with my golf game yet but this challenge has gotten me to the golf course. That alone has helped me physically and mentally. Just getting out there and being on the course is therapeutic. Prior to this, I was all work and highly stressed. Now I get out and enjoy. You could call golf my hobby right now. I’ve also learned better techniques with the lessons I am taking. So it’s all good!
Michael and I start each morning with a cup of coffee watching the daily video of The 100 Day Challenge. It sets our pace for the day. We are uplifted, motivated, and ready to start the day fast and finish strong!
My goal of writing 2 posts on the blog a week is still on track. In fact, my target was to have 20 new posts by today and this is my 20th new post! Yay! It has continued to be a challenge writing and promoting two posts a week. We run a very consuming business and have all the regular life events of a household and family. It means squeezing a lot into my days and making sacrifices at times. Whether that be sleep or a fun activity. This challenge keeps me accountable. I don’t like to fail. So when I look at those goals every day I am reminded to just keep plugging along. Like golf for Michael, blogging is my therapy. I enjoy writing and helping others through my expression.
I am really excited about my goal to lose two inches around my belly! To date, I have lost one and a half inches so I only have half an inch to go! Woohoo! The challenge is going to be holiday eating. This wasn’t the best time of year for a goal like this but I do like a challenge. My other post this week Who Else Struggles With Holiday Eating? shares tips and facts that will get us through this time.
I haven’t been perfect with my action plan. A few workouts were missed around the Thanksgiving holiday when we went out of town and enjoyed quality family time. Then I caught a temporary malfunction (aka a cold) and missed three workouts this week. I have however been very good about doing my ab supplemental workout. I think it’s really helping.
As mentioned before in our 100 Day Challenge Goal Check-In 33 Days Down Michael and I set a couple’s goal too. It is a financial goal. I am so excited to say that we are ahead of where we targeted to be on this date! In our last check-in, we were not quite on pace to reach our goal. This is such a good feeling.
Our next check-in will be at the end of this challenge. We are looking forward to our results on the hundredth day and we can’t wait to start our next 100 Day Challenge! We are already discussing our goals for that round.
